2021-22 SEASON
Basketball Season has resumed!
Hello,
This Saturday (January 22nd), we will resume the Basketball Program at St. Peter's Parish. We will follow the schedule for Saturday January 22nd. Instructional Division will be at regularly scheduled time 10-11a
The health and wellbeing of all remains a concern and we therefore request that if a child is not feeling well or has had direct contact at any time this week with someone in your household or at their respective school who has tested positive for Covid-19, that they refrain from participating in our basketball program this weekend.
In an effort to control the volume of people in our gym, we are asking that only one parent/adult accompany their son/daughter to the Instructional Program.
Barring any directives from public health officials that the program be halted, it is our intention to continue our program throughout February, though we will be prepared to postpone activities should it be advisable or necessary.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Dear Worcester Interfaith Community,
Please join us for a “Celebratory Gathering in Honor of Isabel Gonzalez-Webster” on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at First Baptist Church, 111 Park Avenue, Worcester from 2:00pm to 4:00pm with a brief presentation and program at 3:00pm.
This gathering will be our opportunity to both thank Isabel for her leadership of Worcester Interfaith and say farewell and Godspeed as she leaves the organization in mid-January to begin serving as Executive Director for Communities United for Police Reform (CPR) in New York City.
In announcing her decision to leave Worcester Interfaith, Isabel wrote that she has “had the pleasure to work with an incredible board of directors, staff, members, coalitions, and community to bring about racial and economic justice and address systemic inequities in the city of Worcester.” Though we will miss her, let us celebrate all that has been accomplished under Isabel’s leadership in just three action-packed years.
Attendees will be required to wear masks and observe all other posted Covid-19 safety protocols in effect the day of the event. Isabel asks that in lieu of gifts members consider making a financial donation to support the ongoing work of Worcester Interfaith.
We hope to see you there!

A rally for change, a celebration for community.
Worcester Pride is coming back to Worcester, September 8-14, 2021. Pride week is being coordinated by the Queer Coalition of Greater Worcester, a collaborative community initiative working to bring activities supporting LGBTQ+ folx in Central Mass closer together.

Pride Worcester Is Happening -- With Your Help
Mark your calendars for September 8-14, 2021.
Pride Week in Worcester is back this September with some big changes! Last organized by 21st Century Pride in 2019, this year’s events are being coordinated by the Queer Coalition of Greater Worcester. Founded in 2019, the Coalition is a collaborative community of LGBTQ+ organizations and activists bringing initiatives supporting LGBTQ+ folx in Central MA closer together.
Celebrating Pride and the progress of our LGBTQ+ community includes recognizing the work of marginalized people, both in history and today. Before and during the pandemic, community members called for change to elevate the experiences of queer and trans people of color and other marginalized identities in our region. Through the Queer Coalition of Greater Worcester, a decentralized, collaborative planning approach with new people at the table endeavors to do just that. The Coalition includes 508 Pride, Love Your Labels, LGBT Asylum Task Force, Queer the Scene, Creative Hub Worcester, many other organizations, and dozens of individuals and activists that represent the diversity of the Greater Worcester community.
None of us are free until all of us are free and liberation does not come without the help of many hands. We need the community’s support to make 2021 Pride Worcester a reality. The Coalition has launched a crowdfunding campaign to ensure this celebration can reach its full potential. Funds will be used for entertainment, event rentals, and permits for a community rally and block party on September 11. Be a part of this important community action by making a donation and sharing PrideWorcester.org on your personal and organizational social media.
Stay tuned as we release a full slate of events, including parties, rallies, community days, and more. Join us in making history by visiting PrideWorcester.org to donate or submit your interest in volunteering or vending at events.
Pride Worcester is coordinated by the Queer Coalition of Greater Worcester, which is convened by Love Your Labels, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Worcester, MA. Contributions in support of Pride Worcester are tax deductible.

Last year, WildWorcester held a similar event that was supported by a number of local organizations, including yourselves, Mass Audubon, the Ecotarium, the Greater Worcester Land Trust, Worcester Public Libraries, Mothers Out Front, and many more. This year, we are hoping to gain more local support from organizations. We would love for UNITY Radio to join in this event to help bring the Worcester community together! To get involved, your can:
- Join us as a Co-Host on our Facebook Event Page - this is an important aspect as we will be able to reach a wider audience this way and get more people involved!
- Share event information on your page, reach out to your email list, and help get the word out about this accessible event!
- If any staff would be interested, they can help by filming a short video or creating a poster on a species, habitat, or another nature topic which can then be posted on the Facebook Event Page.

I have included the links to WildWorcester’s Facebook Page, Instagram, and the Facebook Event Page, along with a few flyers that give some more in-depth information about the event. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out!
Thanks for all the incredible work you do for our community, and wishing you all the best,
Jacob and The WildWorcester Team
